SPECIFICATIONS

The system is composed of several printed circuit boards (pcb’s) in which the various buttons, switches , encoders, pots, backlit and leds are mounted.

To the rear of the MIP-panel are the interface pcb and to the front of the subpanels with buttons. Everything, such as annunciators and switches fit neatly into the recesses of these subpanels.

In the middle of the ‘center panel’ is the ‘interface’-a system board on which all the other printborden (pcbs) are associated with. This interface board is in turn connected with the MCP.

The interface motherboard includes besides the CPFlight firmware " using the different MIP-operator functions for the buttons, switches, and annunciators.

The " interface motherboard” is similar to the MIP737 interface board of CPFlight.

Outside of this interface motherboard we know the interface printborden of the Capt and F/O side. Further we have that of the lower subpanels (not in this setup) and the smaller pcb's in the system are processed such as e.g. the sixpacks.

All the rotary switches, encoders and ordinary switches are on the circuit board. The dual concentric controls for the Speed Ref and N1 setting are made of metal and powder coated.
The outer is a switch and the inner encoder.
The square space in the middle is a ‘break out’ panel with the circuit boards for the Master Caution switches and 2 led plates for 2 separate leds on the MIP.

DU/AFDS circuit board (middle)

On the DU-circuit board are the AFDS switches (Autopilot Flight Director System) with the dual-coloured leds (amber and red) and the rotary switch for the DU-selectors.

This revolutionary system of FlyEngravity and CPFlight saves a lot of time for the crafting of leds, buttons, switches, wire and associated soldering. Then everything interface on an interface card. And this : also, it should be after all this work ...
.
For me as an electronics dummy is this ICS system is the ideal solution.
