OMSCHRIJVING

On the side of the F/O, on the Lower Dimming Panels, is the push button ON the SYS TEST. When this button is pressed, various tests are carried out both visually and audibly. ProSim737 is concerned, this test is still not complete. The different warnings are only audible after a 10 sec.

Push :

– Momentarily on ground :

  • BELOW G/S and ON INOP lights illuminate
  • TERR FAIL and TERR TEST show on navigation displays
  • PULL UP and wind shear alerts illuminate
  • GLIDE SLOPE, PULL UP and wind shear aurals sound
  • terrain display test pattern shows on navigation displays
  • CAUTION TERRAIN aural sounds and TERRAIN caution message shows on navigation displays

– until self-test aurals begin, on ground, above indications always occur first, followed by these additional sounds :

  • radio altitude based alerts
  • bank angle alert
  • approach callouts
  • wind shear alert
  • look ahead terrain alerts

– system test inhibited in-flight

CONNECTION HARDWARE

For the connecting of the hardware, i.e. the switch with the card, again pretty simple.

The pressure switch has 2 connectiepinnetjes. One of the two (you can choose) solder a wire. I did this again and tan chosen to make everything a little bit to recognize. This thread is on the other side connected to a free port on the Pokeys55 interface card.

The other pin of the pressure switch with a wire (black – Min) connected with one of the SNES’on the Pokeys55.
To the both pins of the switch with soldered wires to insulate, I've shrinkable tubing used.

CONNECTION SOFTWARE

How we work :

  • ProSim737 : File/Config/Switches;
  • Choose the function > ON Sys Test Pushed;
  • Select the Pokeys;
  • Choose the appropriate port;
  • Press the OK button.

.

CONNECTION SOFTWARE FOR JUST A ADDED YOURSELF SOUND

The control in ProSim737 is done in several steps :

  • Adding a WAV sound file (Warnings) in the ProSim folder ‘Audio’;
  • Add this Wav file in the ProSim database > File/Audio Addons.

*** Download ON Warnings ***

After the addition will ProSim737 automatically two I/O-elements more. Under the saved name, ‘e.g. ON Sys Test’ will be the first I/O element to be found in the ‘Switches’ (Audio addon ON Sys Test input Off/Active). This is for controlling the hardware.
The second I/O element is found under the Config-Audio tab, and under the same name (Audio addon ON Sys Test). Here you can choose whether the sound file is played ‘Internal’ or via a different pc (remote) and by the ProSim Audio module on the other pc.

I have all the ON-warnings playback via a remote pc. On the ProSim pc is also FS and the engine sounds. It is a bit more realistic when the ON is heard through a different pair of speakers.

How are we going to continue to work :

  • ProSim737 : File/Config/Switches;
  • Select the Audio function;
  • Select the Pokeys;
  • Choose the appropriate port;
  • Press the OK button.

.

  • ProSim737 : File/Config/Audio (note. Not in use remote);
  • Select the Audio function;
  • Choose whether or not to ‘Internal Audio’;
  • Press the OK button.

Furthermore, you can still check in the direct ‘Audio’ tab, everything works.
