Avionics Pedestal

Another success story ended my cockpitproject. This week the final touches to the build of the Avionics Pedestal. The intention is for this to rest with my GoFlight panels and in the future to switch over to the modules from CPFlight or FlightIllusion.

No significant problems encountered when attempting to build this pedestal, only that the space between the cockpitstoelen is very tight. The Hercules C130 chairs are now once a bit wider than the real Boeingseats.

Platform

The final touches are being made to make the platform. On this platform, the whole cockpit and is made of MDF and floor coverings aluminium plates.

The whole thing is on the back +- a 40 cm narrower than the ‘real’. This is due to lack of space.

This album still has a few weeks taken.

Throttle Quadrant test

Today a IVAO-flight run with a full configured and afgetunde TQ.

The setup was a desktop setup with no cockpit.

The flight went smoothly, only the right Liver No. 2 is sometimes a 5 mm gap to keep in sync use. This still needs a bit of adjusting.

For the rest an impressive machien ... As a fellow cockpitbouwer the wont to call " it works like a charm’.

Calibration and aftunen Throttle Quadrant

In the morning, I have, after appointment, into contact with Oral Barkay of Revolution-Simproducts. He is the man who, at a distance, the TQ is adjusted. This happens with Skype and Crossloop. Skype is, as everyone knows, our online phone and Crossloop is a freeware program to remotely another computer to take over.

Calibration and aftuning should happen on the axes under the control of DcMotor and that are the speedbrakes, throttle liver 1 and 2, trim, wheels/trim indicators and flaps.

Changes need to happen in the Sioc ini and Sioc-PMDGscript. The screen, and the conscious files are overnomen, adjusted and tested. I just need to pass on what happens to the TQ during the aftuning. Of course this happens in a test flight.

This calibration and aftuning lasted +- 1½Hr.

And not to forget : Thanks to the Revolution Simproducts Team (Oral Barkay) for the excellent service !

Lettering ‘Rudder Pedal Adjustment

The correct text and digits on the Rudder Pedal Adjustment – areas should come were still missing. Yves Belmans has given me the necessary photos taken in a real cockpit and forwarded.

The lettering I make ‘In-Sight’a company at home around the corner that deals with advertising, banners, lettering of all kinds and make of the tiny - to large stickers on commercial vehicles to paste.

The application of the small numbers and letters was prutswerk and a steady hand was needed ...

Throttle Quadrant

Yesterday a trip done to Lelystad (NL) to visit the FSWeekend 2010. And especially to my Throttle Quadrant on the state of the Revolution Simproducts, that I 3 months ago it had ordered.

I must say that it is very impressive to have all that TQ ’s at each other to see. Heavy and solid stuff. And be sure to go to the car to wear. Pfff... The packaging for the transport could be better (none). There were people from Revolution SimProducts never thought of that. So the TQ but ingeriemd on the rear seat as a passenger, and managed to bring home hit.

Once the cockpit-platform is can I start the structure and configuration of the TQ.
