Last Monday, I am my order pick-up at FlyEngravity (B737-windows, eyebrow windows, OVH decals).

In the coming weeks/months will my cockpitroom again be transformed into a small construction site.

  • Build cockpitframe from metal tubes on which the OVH's come to hang out;
  • Confirm the OVH's on the cockpitframe;
  • Places of the B737 windows;
  • Integration of the Eyebrow windows;

Angle of Attack 737 Training

On the Internet you can find masses of information manuals of all sorts on the B737.

To all that paperwork some extra to clarify the training videos of Angle of Attack.

These videos were produced after the release of the PMDG 737NGX and this by 737 pilots, flightsimmers and aviation enthusiasts.

This Boeing 737 Training from Angle of Attack is an additional training tool and a good complement to the use of the B737 FCOM.

Landing lights toggle switch caps

The " landing lights toggle switch caps that I have ordered GLB Flight Products have arrived.

The caps that are on their website are only suitable for switch shafts are of max 3 mm. A little too small for my landingswitchen because they are from the top 5 mm and bottom 4 mm. Without additional price increase Geremy Britton of GLB Flight Products, custom-made shafts made that will fit on my landingswitchen.

A set consists of 4 caps. The shaft is made from aluminium and the top part with the 3 scoops out of plastic. They are nicely made but the paint was a little more sophisticated, be done.

Assembly ICS Forward Overhead

After a few weeks of tinkering is my ICS Forward Overhead ready for use. Remains for me the buizenconstructie (cockpitframe) where both overheads have to be confirmed. And we are just doing that ...

Some small details are still missing on the FWD OVH :

  • White caps on the rockers (not in stock);
  • Black aluminum decals (not in stock);
  • Landing Lights toggle switch caps (ordered).

Throughout the story of the OVH with a pack of photos is found on the following pages :

ProSim A. F. A. S.

Prosim A. F. A. S. (Automatic Flight Announcement System) is an add-on product for the ProSim Boeing 737 suite.

This program provides ‘flight crew’ and ‘attendant’ announcements which you normally can hear during a flight with an airline. These announcements vary according to different vluchtsituaties.

In addition, ProSim A. F. A. S. for a passagiersmonitor (pax) with the display of the flight information, a map with the route and also playing inflight videos, and the associated announcements, depending on the vluchtsituatie.

Sounds and videos are to your own personal liking according to the airline of their choice.

The map uses the Google Maps API ® and the videos are displayed using the Youtube ®

Both functions are automatically turned off when you are not connected to the internet.
You can Prosim A. F. A. S. on the pc running where FS and Prosim737 are installed or on a different pc in a network.

This tool makes everything a little bit, however ...

Active Sky Evolution (ASE)

Since some time I use Active Sky Evolution (ASE) as a ‘weather engine’. This program, of HiFi Technologies, is operated via a Remote Laptop, which serves as a Flightplanning-pc. Via WideClient is all the weather data is forwarded to FS.

ASE gives in FS beautiful weather images such as impressive cloud formations, and is especially equipped with useful functions for realistic flightplanning.

ASE is linked to FSBuild and TopCat where it is possible to work with Aloft Winds for the route planning. This program also provides additional information that is necessary for the programming of the FMC and Takeoff and Landing Performance Calculation.

The page ‘Visuals’ I have provided with some additional tips that may be useful :

  • Choosing between projectors with better resolution or better contrast ?
  • How is it ‘native’ resolution and maximum resolution ?
  • How can you FS9/FSX improved by the Nvidia driver with NVidia Inspector ?

The additional tips are found on page PC Setup/Visuals.
