Magnetic Declination – FS9 & FSX Navigation Datebase Update

Not directly to do with cockpitbuilding but still important in our simulator is that we have the right data to navigate.

FS9, FSX and P3D, one can be a bit like a phone book or street map, and that things are right, after a while, not more, street names and numbers change, and there come in here, as also in our navdata.

These data in our sims, such as magnetic variation (declination), navaids, fixes and after a time outdated and are not consistent with the current information they can find on recent vliegkaarten.

An update of these data in FS9, FSX and also P3D is quite easy to complete and this through the website of Herve Sors (AeroSors NavAids) :

  • This can be an update of all VOR's and NDB's, so that one can find on the current cards;
  • The correct calibration of the magnetic variation of navaids that are equipped with azimutinformatie (VOR, VORDME, NDB);
  • Right ILS Data.
